The Exchange Club Family Skills Center celebrates its first year of a full night of culture, education and fun for the entire community! It’s more than just a gala – it’s a musical, cultural and fundraising experience for all. The Blue Ribbon Bash II is designed to raise awareness and financial support for the prevention of child abuse throughout the State of Alabama. Hosted at the prestigious Rosewood Hall at SOHO Square, world class entertainment, unique attractions and fabulous food will combine to make this Bash the premier event for the Fall!
The Blue Ribbon Bash will feature three unique components to include: the Grandstage featuring live entertainment; a live Auction offering some the most sought after grand prizes and a dynamic Southern Blue Ribbon Cook-Off highlighting Birmingham’s top chefs. The event will also showcase a Dance-A-Thon presented by the city’s most notable dance studios. It’s fun for the entire community!
With a guaranteed crowd of over 300 attendees, the Blue Ribbon Bash provides citizens with a way to enjoy a night out on the town while supporting a charitable and worthwhile cause. Not only will your company and product be exposed to the public, but you will also be supporting The Exchange Club Family Skills Center, the principal child abuse and neglect prevention agency providing education and support services for both parents and children in the Greater Birmingham and surrounding areas.

"2nd Annual Shake A Leg Not A Baby “
Skating fundraiser August 2010
September is National Baby Safety Month and The Exchange Club Family Skills Center has adopted Shaken Baby Syndrome/ Abusive Head Trauma (SBS/AHT) as our cause for that month. SBS/ AHT is one of the most violent forms of child abuse, accounting for the majority of severe head injuries in children less than one year of age. It is the most common cause of mortality and long term disability in infants and young children due to physical abuse.
We are preparing to kick off our awareness campaign by hosting our 2nd Annual “SHAKE A LEG NOT A BABY” Skating Fundraiser. Saturday, August 28, 2010 starting at 5pm at Roller Motion Skate Center, 2474 Morgan Rd, Bessemer, Al 35022.
Tickets are $5 per person or a family 4 pack for $18.
Tell your friends! Tell your church youth groups! Tell your boy and girls scout troops!
Come out to help us kick off our awareness campaign, while letting the kids have some back to school fun!
